Preseason: Arsenal held by Como in final friendly
Arsenal concluded their pre-season with a 1-1 draw against Como in a friendly match on Wednesday night.
The Premier League champions took the lead in the first half when Myles Lewis-Skelly intercepted a misplaced pass and scored. However, Como equalized just before halftime, as Martin Baturina skillfully maneuvered into the penalty area and found the back of the net.
Following the match, Arsenal triumphed in a penalty shootout, winning 4-3.
Coach Mikel Arteta’s squad is set to commence their season with the Community Shield against Manchester City on Sunday at Wembley Stadium. They will then kick off their title defense next Friday at home against Coventry City.
