Suspected Boko Haram terrorists storm school, abduct pupils

Boko Haram Suspected in School Attack in Borno State
Suspected members of the Boko Haram insurgency launched an attack on a school in Borno State, Nigeria, on Friday, abducting an undisclosed number of students and instilling fear within the community.
Preliminary reports indicate that armed individuals entered the school grounds, firing shots into the air prior to taking the students to an unknown location. The situation remains fluid, and authorities have not yet confirmed the total number of pupils taken.
A local resident, who spoke on the condition of anonymity due to safety concerns, claimed the attackers arrived in large numbers and overwhelmed the area before security personnel could intervene. “We just heard gunshots, and people started running. Before we knew it, they had taken some of the children away,” the resident said.
In the aftermath of the incident, security forces, including military personnel and local vigilante groups, were deployed to the region to pursue the assailants and work towards the safe recovery of the abducted students.
