Security Analyst Identifies Brothers of Notorious Bandit Leader in Nigeria

ZAGAZOLA MAKAMA, a counter-insurgency and security analyst focused on the Lake Chad region, has identified two men he claims are brothers of the notorious bandit leader Bello Turji.

According to Makama, these individuals have been implicated in violent activities throughout Sokoto and Zamfara states. He shared their names and a photograph on social media, highlighting their connections to ongoing insecurity in Nigeria’s North-West.

“These are the two real brothers of Bello Turji. They are ruthless and have been terrorizing the peace-loving people in Sokoto and Zamfara. They will soon meet their Waterloo,” Makama stated in his post.

Bello Turji is considered one of Nigeria’s most wanted bandit leaders, linked to numerous attacks, kidnappings, and killings in the North-West, particularly in Zamfara and Sokoto. His criminal network poses a significant security challenge, despite ongoing military offensives in the region.

The Federal Government and security forces have ramped up operations against armed groups in North-West Nigeria. Recent reports indicate the neutralization of several bandit commanders and the rescue of kidnapping victims. Nevertheless, attacks by criminal gangs continue to threaten communities across the region.
