Transfer: Awaziem completes move to Turkish club Konyaspor
Konyaspor has officially signed Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem, the club announced on Thursday.
Awaziem joins Konyaspor from French club Nantes, signing a two-year contract. The 29-year-old will don the number 15 jersey for the upcoming season.
Previously, Awaziem played in Turkey for Çaykur Rizespor and Alanyaspor. He had only recently transferred to Nantes from Colorado Rapids in Major League Soccer, but sought to leave following the club’s relegation from Ligue 1.
The defender began his professional career with FC Porto in Portugal and has also played in Spain and Croatia.
