Nigerian Army Conducts Operation in Imo State, Seizes Weapons
Imo State, Nigeria — Troops from the Nigerian Army’s 82 Division, in coordination with the Joint Task Force South-East under Operation UDO KA, have conducted a raid on a suspected criminal hideout in the Obiakpu Community of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area. The operation resulted in the recovery of a pump-action firearm and military-style apparel.
The operation, which took place on July 3, was initiated following intelligence gathered from a logistics courier and armorer who had been apprehended earlier by the troops. According to security expert Zagazola Makama, who shared the details on X, the troops advanced into challenging terrain based on the intelligence received.
Upon their arrival at the suspected site, the troops encountered armed individuals. However, the suspects reportedly fled after facing superior firepower from the soldiers.
