‘We don’t need it’ – Pastor Ibiyeomie rejects Yahoo boys’ offerings in church

Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the founder of Salvation Ministries, has issued a stern warning to members engaging in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo boys,” to refrain from making offerings at his church. He emphasized that the church does not accept money gained through fraudulent means.

Ibiyeomie conveyed his message during a recent church service, where he condemned internet fraud and called out individuals who persist in such activities while attending church. He noted that some members operating as Yahoo boys feel comfortable with the profits they gain from defrauding others.

“Do you know that there are Yahoo boys inside church? They have no conscience; they are cheating someone and are very happy in church,” Ibiyeomie remarked.

The pastor characterized internet fraud as a form of theft, asserting, “Yahoo is stealing. Is it your money? I don’t care how you paint it; Yahoo is stealing.” He made it clear that any individual engaged in these activities should take their offerings to other places.

“In this church, if you’re a Yahoo, you will go to another church and give your offering. I don’t care how much you have,” he declared.

Ibiyeomie shared a poignant story about a professor from Rivers State University who was defrauded of his life savings and subsequently collapsed and died. He urged congregants to dissociate themselves from individuals involved in internet fraud and questioned the ongoing support for practices that inflict harm on many people.
