You have capacity to rescue our kidnapped colleague – Ex- Muslim lawyers’ president charges security forces
Kidnappers Demand Ransom for Abducted Lawyer
NIGERIA — Barrister Saidu Muhammad Tuduwada, the immediate past president of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria (MULAN), has called on Nigerian security agencies to intensify their efforts to rescue Barrister Hashim, who was abducted by bandits on Monday while returning from a MULAN conference in Kano.
The kidnappers initially demanded a ransom of N200 million for Hashim’s release, later reducing their demand to N100 million. Ultimately, they settled on N50 million and five Boxer model motorcycles.
Muhammad expressed confidence in the capabilities of the security agencies, stating that they have the resources and expertise necessary to secure Hashim’s release. “We are counting on them to bring our colleague back,” he said.
