My mother doesn’t want me to give my father money – Peller reveals

Nigerian Streamer Peller Discusses Family Financial Dynamics
LAGOS, Nigeria — Popular Nigerian streamer Peller recently shared that his mother discourages him from financially supporting his father. This revelation came during a live stream where he addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding fellow content creator GehGeh’s family matters.
The situation gained attention after GehGeh’s younger sister accused him of neglecting his siblings despite his wealth. In his defense, GehGeh, who claims to be the first in his family to achieve financial success, stated, “I never get the kind of money wey fit raise family from poverty.” He expressed concerns about potentially facing financial hardship if he continues to assist his family and encouraged his siblings to seek employment.
Peller, commenting on the discourse, noted his own struggles with similar family dynamics. He revealed that his father had previously issued threats against him and shared that he has provided substantial financial assistance including gift of a car. Despite this, Peller mentioned that his father continues to ask for more money, which he finds burdensome.
“My mother even advised me to stop helping,” Peller said. “She doesn’t want me to give my father anything, but I keep doing it because he paid for my school fees while I was growing up.”
Peller added, “I’ve opened multiple shops for my mother, and I don’t think people would believe how much I’ve given.”
Last year, GehGeh discussed in an interview with Frank Edoho how the divorce of his parents affected his upbringing and contributed to his academic struggles.
