Sporting Lagos secured the title in the 2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) Super Four, according to reports from DAILY POST.
The team, led by coach Jeffrey Butler, clinched the championship despite a 1-0 loss to local rivals Inter Lagos during their final match on Friday night at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. Both teams finished the tournament with six points, but Sporting Lagos emerged victorious due to a superior goal difference.
As champions, Sporting Lagos received a prize of 10 million naira along with a trophy.
In the other match, Ranchers Bees triumphed over Doma United with a decisive 3-0 victory, securing third place in the tournament.
Participating teams Inter Lagos, Ranchers Bees, and Doma United each received 2 million naira for their performances.
