NPFL: Kun Khalifat FC decry attack on coach after Doma United’s draw

Kun Khalifat FC has urged the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) to enhance the safety measures for players and officials following an alleged attack at Pantami Stadium.
The Owerri-based club played to a 1-1 draw against Doma United at the stadium on Saturday. Following the match, Kun Khalifat’s technical adviser, Obinna Uzoho, was reportedly assaulted.
In response to graphic footage of Uzoho’s injuries circulating on social media, the club released a statement expressing their concerns. “When we lose at home, we lose in peace. But whenever we win away or secure a point against the home team, our lives will be in the hands of God. This is absolutely unacceptable,” they stated.
The club reiterated its call for action: “Again, we can’t continue like this. NPFL, please protect our lives.”
