Super Falcons’ UK tour cancelled after Jamaica’s withdrawal

The training tour for Nigeria’s Super Falcons in the United Kingdom has been canceled following the withdrawal of their scheduled opponent, Jamaica.

The tour was set to take place from May 23 to 28 and included a friendly match against the Jamaican team, which was intended as part of the Super Falcons’ preparations for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

According to Savid News, Jamaica’s withdrawal was due to administrative challenges. This marks the second cancellation involving the Super Falcons, as Cape Verde also withdrew from a double-header of friendlies last month.

The Super Falcons will now await the next FIFA women’s international window in June to arrange a friendly match. They last competed in March, securing a 3-1 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses in Yaoundé.

The team will aim to defend its title at the WAFCON 2026 finals in Morocco this July.
