Troops and Civilian Task Force Arrest Suspected Kidnapper in Kaduna State
KADUNA, Nigeria — Troops from Sector 7 of Operation Enduring Peace, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), apprehended a suspected kidnapper in Kamuru village, located within the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to security sources cited by media expert and counter-insurgency analyst Zagazola Makama, the suspect was detained during a security operation at approximately 3:30 a.m. on May 12.
The suspect, identified as 45-year-old Husaini Jibrin, is allegedly connected to a kidnapping incident that occurred on April 26, 2026, in the Angwan Ali community, also within Zangon Kataf.
Preliminary investigations suggest that Jibrin may have been involved in both the planning and execution of the abduction, which has increased anxiety among residents of nearby communities.
During the operation, authorities recovered a mobile phone and 10,000 naira in cash from the suspect.
