Four Injured in NDLEA Shooting in Kano
KANO — Four individuals were injured in Kano on Thursday following an incident in which officers from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) allegedly discharged their firearms in the vicinity of a local market and Murtala Muhammad Hospital.
Eyewitness accounts identified the injured as one man and three women, including a young girl and a married woman. Local reports indicate that the victims were nearby pedestrians and residents seated outside their homes when the shooting took place.
The injured parties were promptly transported to the emergency unit of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, where medical staff are working to remove bullet fragments and stabilize their conditions.
Authorities have not yet released an official statement explaining the circumstances that led to the discharge of weapons.
