US will only be satisfied if Iran agrees to no nuclear weapons – Trump

Trump Seeks Deal to Prevent Iranian Nuclear Weapons

United States President Donald Trump expressed optimism on Monday about reaching an agreement with Iran that would inhibit the nation’s nuclear capabilities. His remarks came shortly after he announced on Truth Social that he had postponed a planned military attack to facilitate ongoing negotiations.

“We have had very big discussions with Iran and we’ll see what they amount to,” Trump stated. “If we can make a deal where there’s no nuclear weapon going into the hands of Iran, and if they are satisfied, we will be probably satisfied also.”

Trump indicated that the pause in military action would last for two to three days. He acknowledged past attempts at negotiation, saying, “We’ve had periods of time where we thought we were getting close to making a deal. It didn’t work out, but this is a little bit different.”

According to sources, Trump has frequently threatened to resume military strikes on Iran since a ceasefire was established on April 8. On Monday, he reiterated his stance, suggesting that time was of the essence in the negotiations.
