Bauchi Police Arrest Two in Connection with Stolen Vehicle
Bauchi State Police have apprehended two individuals and recovered a stolen Toyota Hummer bus, according to a statement from the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib.
The vehicle’s owner reported its theft at the Yankari Express Motor Park after leaving it unattended to attend prayers at a nearby mosque.
Following a tip-off, police operatives arrested the suspects, identified as Anas Yarima, 35, and Abubakar Adam, 53, on the Bauchi-Gombe highway. The stolen vehicle was found in their possession at the time of their arrest.
The suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime, indicating that they utilized a master key to access and drive away the vehicle from the parking area.
The police stated that investigations are ongoing, and the suspects will face charges in court once the inquiry is complete.
