Tinubu govt prioritizing politics over citizen’s safety – PDP  laments Kebbi school abduction

PDP Condemns Attack on Kebbi School, Calls for Enhanced Security Measures

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly condemned the recent attack on the Government Girls Secondary School in Maga, located within the Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The party characterized the assault as “barbaric.”

The incident, which occurred when armed bandits invaded the school, resulted in the death of Vice Principal Hassan Yakubu Makuku and the abduction of 25 students.

Comrade Ini Ememobong, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, issued a statement emphasizing that this tragic event underscores the growing insecurity levels affecting many Nigerians under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC). Ememobong criticized the government for prioritizing political interests over citizen safety.

The PDP expressed deep concern that when a government fails to fulfill its fundamental duty to protect lives and property, it must take responsibility and address these critical issues directly, rather than remaining detached or deflecting blame.

In a show of solidarity, the party extended condolences to the families of the abducted students and the slain Vice Principal, as well as to the staff, students, and management of the affected school and the Kebbi State government.

The PDP called on President Tinubu to prioritize the security of Nigerian citizens to help end the cycle of violence that has become increasingly commonplace.
