ANSAR-Ud-Deen Society Calls for Urgent Action to Secure Release of Abducted Individuals in Oyo State
The Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (ADS) has urged Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to expedite efforts for the release of students and teachers recently kidnapped in the state.
In a statement released to the media on Sunday, the society described the incident, which occurred on May 15, 2026, in the Oriire Local Government Area, as both unfortunate and alarming.
Bashiru Aminu, ADS Council Chairman, and Secretary Mutiu Alade emphasized the need for swift government action. They pointed out that the increasing frequency of kidnappings and banditry in the region necessitates more proactive measures.
The leaders of the society called on both state and federal governments to allocate the required resources to ensure the safe return of the captives to their families.
