‘He wanted to sleep with me’ – Phyna on fallout with VeryDarkMan during late sister’s case

Phyna Alleges Manipulation by Influencer Following Sexual Advance Rejection
Phyna, a former winner of the Big Brother Naija reality show, has accused Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan of attempting to sway public opinion against her after she rejected his sexual advances.
The allegations surfaced on Sunday through a series of posts on social media platform X, as tensions escalated in her ongoing dispute with VeryDarkMan.
According to reports, Phyna initially reached out to VeryDarkMan in 2025 to seek assistance for justice regarding her late younger sister, Ruth Otabor, who was killed by a Dangote Cement truck in Edo State. Following his involvement, Dangote Cement pledged to take responsibility for the medical care of the accident victim.
However, VeryDarkMan later withdrew from the case, asserting that Phyna had negotiated with the company without his consent. In response to these claims, Phyna denied the allegations and accused VeryDarkMan of trying to manipulate her sister’s case and turning the public against her.
In discussing their fallout, Phyna claimed that VeryDarkMan had made inappropriate advances toward her, which she declined. Sharing what she described as evidence of their conversations, she expressed her anger, stating, “VeryDarkMan came out to say the opposite of what happened. I can never forgive him because he turned me into a bad person over my sister’s case. He is someone I held in high esteem, but he switched up on me, claiming I requested N1 billion from Dangote.”
Phyna added that such a conversation never occurred and suggested that VeryDarkMan might have developed a grudge against her after she rejected his advances.
