Chelsea Enters Bid for Victor Osimhen Amid Transfer Talks
Chelsea Football Club has reportedly joined the competition to acquire striker Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray, according to Soccernet. The Turkish club is said to have set a transfer fee of €150 million for the player.
This development follows remarks by Eric Chelle, head coach of Nigeria’s national team, the Super Eagles. Chelle stated that Osimhen would not be included in the squad for upcoming friendlies against Poland and Portugal due to ongoing transfer discussions.
“Victor Osimhen will not participate in our friendly matches against Poland and Portugal. There may be a possibility of a club change, and I preferred him to remain at home. If a player’s focus is not fully with the team, it is not beneficial for them to be on the field,” Chelle said.
In response, Osimhen asserted that Chelle’s comments had been misconstrued.
