MTN Nigeria Commits to Transparency and Consumer Education
By Peter Egwuatu
MTN Nigeria (MTNN Plc) reaffirmed its dedication to transparency and consumer education during a recent public engagement event aimed at enhancing digital literacy and fostering trust among its users.
Chief Executive Officer Dr. Karl Toriola highlighted the importance of transparency in both financial performance and operations, noting that MTN is a publicly traded company listed on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX).
The event, dubbed “Data on Trial,” was designed to address consumer inquiries related to mobile data usage, billing transparency, and digital consumption. “Data on Trial was created based on a simple belief: trust with our customers grows when they have access to information and can make informed decisions,” Toriola stated. “Today’s event allows participants to comprehend the technology that drives real-time service and pose challenging questions while gaining diverse perspectives.”
Throughout the session, MTN’s technical experts addressed various consumer concerns, including issues of data depletion, billing accuracy, background application activity, automatic updates, cloud synchronization, video streaming, and multi-device connectivity.
The initiative underscores MTN Nigeria’s ongoing commitment to fostering a better understanding of mobile technology among users.
