Transfer: What Galatasaray president told me about selling Osimhen – Tüzemen

Galatasaray’s President Affirms Commitment to Osimhen Amid Transfer Speculation

ISTANBUL — Turkish journalist Levent Tüzemen recently shared insights from a conversation with Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek regarding the future of forward Victor Osimhen. As the summer transfer window approaches, questions surrounding the former African Footballer of the Year’s next destination have intensified.

Osimhen concluded another impressive season with Galatasaray, netting 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 matches across all competitions. His strong performances have drawn interest from several top European clubs, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Arsenal, and Chelsea.

Tüzemen reported that when he asked Özbek about Osimhen’s potential transfer, the club president was unequivocal. “Regardless of the offers we receive, I will not sell him. Our goal is to secure our 27th championship,” Özbek stated during the discussion on the Libero TV YouTube channel, as cited by habersarikirmizi.

Özbek also mentioned the club’s ambitions in European competition, stating they aim to reach the top eight teams or even the semi-finals.

Osimhen signed a permanent contract with Galatasaray last summer, locking him to the Istanbul club until the end of the 2028-29 season.
