Wikki Tourists Eliminated from President Federation Cup
Katsina, Nigeria – Wikki Tourists head coach Evans Ogenyi expressed disappointment following his team’s elimination from the President Federation Cup. The Bauchi Elephants were defeated 3-1 by El-kanemi Warriors in the semi-final match held Wednesday night at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
El-kanemi took an early lead, scoring all three of their goals in the first half. Wikki Tourists managed to reduce the deficit with a penalty converted by Imamu Bala Magaji after the break.
Ogenyi stated that his players put forth their best effort in hopes of reaching the final. “The result is disappointing because it has brought an end to our campaign in the competition,” he said. “We did our best to win and qualify for the final, but God has destined that this is how far we can go.”
