In a statement, the company indicated that attempts to contact the relatives of the passenger using the information provided at the time of travel were unsuccessful.
To assist in locating the family, Benue Links sought public help through social media platforms. The company confirmed that it has now successfully identified and contacted the family of the deceased.
Benue Links also reported that it arranged for the transportation of the deceased’s remains to Korinya, the passenger’s hometown. The body has been placed in a morgue, and the company has covered all related morgue fees while awaiting burial arrangements by the family.
