Edo State Security Corps Arrests Over 10 Suspects for Criminal Activities

Operatives from the Edo State Security Corps (ESSC) have arrested more than 10 individuals suspected of involvement in various criminal activities throughout the state.

The arrests were made last weekend, as reported by DAILY POST. Richard Balogun, Deputy Commander of Operations for the ESSC, informed reporters in Benin City that those apprehended face charges including theft, armed robbery, and fraud.

Balogun noted that the arrests were the result of actionable intelligence and confirmed that the suspects have admitted to their roles in the alleged crimes.

Following their arrest, the suspects have been transferred to the police for further investigation and prosecution. The Deputy Commander emphasized the security corps’ commitment to maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward criminal activities within the region.
