Expulsion of Edoziem-led DOS final battle before emergence of Biafra – IPOB to members

IPOB Declares ‘Final Battle’ for Biafran State
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) announced to its members that it is entering what it terms the “final decisive battle” in its quest for the establishment of a Biafran state. This declaration was made in a leaked internal memo from the group’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, titled “This Is the Final Decisive Battle for the Heart and Soul of IPOB – Biafra Emerges Victorious.”
In the memo, IPOB accused certain expelled members of the now-dissolved third administration of the Directorate of State (DOS), led by Chika Edoziem, of attempting to compromise the organization’s integrity in favor of the Nigerian government. The memo claimed that Anambra State Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and legal practitioner Ifeanyi Ejiofor are allegedly involved in efforts to undermine IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu and obstruct his release.
The memo further alleged that governors from the South-East region are determined to contain the activities of Kanu and IPOB. It stated, “This is the last internal battle before the full emergence of Biafra as prophesied by our Supreme Leader, Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in late 2020.”
IPOB asserted that infiltrators from the previous DOS have caused internal strife, claiming that public video evidence substantiates their allegations. The group alleged that Soludo’s administration has retaliated against Kanu in response to growing recognition of his influence, particularly amid a movement that portrays him as a prophet.
The memo detailed a series of actions it claims were taken by Soludo, including the mobilization of state resources to counter IPOB’s influence, while also criticizing the portrayal of insecurity in the region as politically motivated. “The narrative of insecurity is manufactured,” the memo stated, arguing this was intended to justify Kanu’s detention and the dismantling of IPOB’s Eastern Security Network (ESN).
IPOB maintained that their protective forces have successfully deterred large-scale violence from bandits in the region, highlighting ongoing efforts to rally support for Kanu, who they assert remains connected to his followers despite attempts to isolate him.
The message concluded with a call for unity among members, urging them to reject perceived traitors and remain dedicated to their cause. The memo asserted that, despite challenges, IPOB believes it will succeed in its mission for a Biafran state: “In the end, we win. History is on our side.”
