Transfer: Granada sign 34-goal Nigerian striker, Chinaza

Granada has officially signed Nigerian striker Chinaza Marvellous Onouha Okonyia, a move aimed at bolstering their attacking lineup with a promising young talent.
Born in 2005, Okonyia joins the club after a standout season with UP Plasencia, where he was instrumental in the team’s promotion. UP Plasencia clinched the championship title in the Primera Extremeña, securing a spot in the Tercera RFEF, with Okonyia emerging as one of the team’s key players.
During his time at UP Plasencia, he scored 34 goals across all competitions, including 23 in league play, seven in the Copa Extremadura, and four during the promotion playoff matches. His scoring prowess earned him the title of top scorer in the division, achieving a remarkable one-goal-per-game average with 23 goals in 23 league appearances.
Okonyia’s contributions were vital to UP Plasencia’s successful promotion effort. He will begin his tenure with Granada by joining the club’s reserve team, which struggled in its attacking performance last season.
