Demons rule entertainment industry – Jim Iyke claims
Veteran Nollywood Actor Criticizes Industry’s Culture in Recent Interview
LAGOS, Nigeria — Jim Iyke, a seasoned actor in Nigeria’s film industry, has stated that the entertainment sector is largely influenced by negative forces, which he described as “demons,” and suggested that it promotes behaviors linked to satanism.
In an interview with media personality Joey Akan, Iyke expressed concerns about the self-serving nature of many individuals within the industry. He argued that a significant portion of those involved portray themselves as demigods, a stance he associates with satanic principles.
Iyke reflected on his own past perceptions, noting that he once believed he was exceptional when fans would faint at his presence. However, he later recognized this adoration as a form of self-worship after establishing a relationship with God.
“I believe it requires intentional effort for those in the entertainment industry to connect with God rather than engage in self-worship or any form of satanism,” Iyke said. He emphasized that the industry’s environment enables harmful behaviors, which he sees as contrary to spiritual principles.
“The entertainment industry is predominantly designed to exalt satanism,” Iyke claimed. “What in our industry truly glorifies God unless someone actively seeks Him? Much of what we celebrate does not align with godly values.”
Iyke added that while God exists within the industry, the overarching culture often promotes self-serving behaviors that conflict with spiritual devotion. He stated, “To create is to mimic God, yet many in this space prioritize self.”
Reflecting on his experiences, Iyke warned against idolizing oneself, stating, “When you elevate yourself to a god-like status and believe you should be worshipped, you fall into a dangerous mindset.”
He concluded by encouraging others to seek a genuine connection with God amidst the prevailing challenges in the entertainment world. “Finding God in this environment, which often feels devoid of His presence, is what truly makes one special,” he said.
