Veteran Nollywood Actor Jim Iyke Discusses Rebranding Efforts

Nollywood veteran Jim Iyke recently revealed his efforts to reshape his public image from that of a “bad boy” to a more responsible persona.

In an interview with media personality Joey Akan, Iyke acknowledged that external influences initially molded his “bad boy” image. However, he recognized the need for change as he progressed in his career.

“I knew it was time to evolve,” Iyke said. “The ‘bad boy’ image served its purpose, but I had to abandon it when it was no longer beneficial for my personal and professional growth.”

He highlighted a common challenge within the entertainment industry—many of his colleagues face stagnation because they struggle to know when to transition or exit the spotlight.

“Not knowing when to step back is a problem many of us in the entertainment field encounter,” he said. “I recognized when it was time to move on.”

Iyke emphasized the importance of adaptability for entertainers aiming to maintain relevance in a constantly changing industry landscape.
