Oyo State Police Rescue Kidnapping Victim
The Oyo State Police Command announced the successful rescue of a kidnapping victim on Monday.
Mr. Owoade Matthew, who was abducted on July 13 along the Igbojaye–Budo Aare Bush Road, has regained his freedom, according to a statement from the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade.
Ayanlade indicated that police operatives were involved in the rescue operation. The victim is currently receiving medical care following his release.
In the statement, Ayanlade confirmed that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects responsible for the kidnapping.
“The victim has been taken to a medical facility for evaluation and necessary treatment. Upon completion of his medical care, investigators will conduct a debriefing as part of the ongoing investigation aimed at identifying, apprehending, and prosecuting all individuals involved in this crime,” Ayanlade stated.
