Former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is poised to take over as head coach of the France national football team, replacing Didier Deschamps. This transition comes after France’s 2-0 loss to Spain in the semi-finals of the 2026 World Cup on Tuesday night.
Deschamps, who has led the team since 2012, confirmed he would step down from his position following the tournament. His final match in charge will be the third-place playoff against either England or Argentina this weekend.
