Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Mali receives letters of credence


Dr. Geoffrey Ijomah David Chima has officially received his Letters of Credence as Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to the Republic of Mali. The presentation took place on Friday, conducted by Ambassador Babagana Wakil, the Chief of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The announcement was made in a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “The Ambassador-designate of Nigeria to Mali, Dr. Geoffrey Ijomah David Chima, has received his Letters of Credence,” the statement read, highlighting the formal nature of the appointment.

Chima’s diplomatic posting comes as Nigeria continues to strengthen ties with Mali.
