‘Headquarters of Sugar Mummy industry is in Abuja’ – Nedu [VIDEO]

Nedu Wazobia Claims Abuja is Headquarters of “Sugar Mummy” Industry

Controversial media personality Nedu Wazobia has asserted that Abuja serves as the headquarters of what he refers to as the “Sugar Mummy” industry in Nigeria.

Wazobia made the statement during a conversation with fellow content creator Ludahydrate, highlighting the significance of this sector in the country. “The Sugar Mummy industry is one of the biggest industries in Nigeria. The headquarters, as far as I am concerned, is here in Abuja,” he stated in the discussion.

Ludahydrate supported Wazobia’s claim, attributing the rise of the Sugar Mummy industry in the capital to the presence of Northern politicians and political appointees. He remarked, “Why [the industry] is so prominent in Abuja is because Northern men are here and they have more wives.”

He elaborated further, describing the dynamics within wealthy households. “You will see one minister who has like nine wives. After divorcing, he may settle one with an estate and another with a supermarket,” Ludahydrate explained.

He continued, noting the implications for women who might choose not to remarry. “Imagine a woman who owns a supermarket and perhaps a water company. She has children but doesn’t have any man in her life. That kind of woman might not want to get married again. She will prefer to just have a Sugar Boy,” he added.

The conversation has sparked discussions about the socio-economic dynamics of relationships in Nigeria’s capital.
