Walson-Jack Denies Role in PFIPC Staffing and Office Allocation
The Head of Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, addressed the House of Representatives on Wednesday, asserting that her office did not allocate office space nor authorize the deployment of staff to the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). This council is headed by Adeyemi Adeniyi, who claims to serve as its Director General.
Walson-Jack confirmed during her testimony that her office had not provided an organizational structure for the PFIPC under Adeniyi’s leadership.
“We remain committed to our previous statements,” Walson-Jack said. “However, we wish to clarify several details regarding these issues.”
She emphasized that there was no staff deployment or office accommodation provided by her office. Additionally, she noted that no organizational structure had been issued for the PFIPC.
Walson-Jack highlighted the need to clarify matters surrounding the unauthorized establishment of the council and the issuance of a recruitment waiver. “If you would allow me, I would like to elaborate on this aspect, which we have not addressed in previous statements,” she added.
