In a heartfelt Instagram post, Ojo reflected on past experiences while raising her two children, Festus and Priscilla, and credited Akindele’s mother, a doctor, with preventing a potential tragedy through her exceptional care.
Ojo described Akindele’s mother as a compassionate individual whose genuine kindness extended beyond her medical duties. She recalled the reassurance and protection they received during a time filled with fear and uncertainty, emphasizing that the doctor’s intervention was crucial to her children’s safety.
Ojo also shared her ongoing relationship with Akindele’s mother, which included guidance and spiritual support, even amid disagreements with Akindele. She expressed gratitude for the doctor’s unwavering presence and prayers throughout the years.
In her post, Ojo wrote, “A beautiful soul she was. I can never forget, back in 2004, how she treated Festus and Priscilla when they were little. I thought I’d lose them both, but she said, ‘No. Not on my watch.’ A great doctor she was and an even greater prayer warrior. Even though Funke and I fought countless times, she never stopped calling me, never stopped praying for me. She’d always say, ‘My spirit will stand between you and your enemies. One day, it’ll settle. My child, I love you all.’ She was indeed a mother to all. I will always love her. Rest on, mama.”
