Why I always play witch, wicked roles in Nollywood movies – Patience Ozokwor

Veteran Nollywood Actress Discusses Her Iconic Roles
Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwor, widely recognized as Mama G, has attributed her frequent portrayals of antagonistic characters in films to what she describes as a divine calling.
In a recent live-streamed interview conducted by content creator Carter Efe, Ozokwor addressed viewers’ questions regarding her enduring presence in villainous roles.
“I believe God gave me that niche,” she stated. “I hate every ill because I don’t tolerate injustice, conflict, and discord. When I take on these roles, I strive to bring depth to the characters.”
Ozokwor emphasized the moral implications of her portrayals, advising viewers to remain mindful of their choices. “If you participate in these stories, you must be aware of the consequences,” she noted. “The end justifies the means. Understand what follows from living a troubled life as opposed to being a good person.”
The actress highlighted her performances as a means to illustrate the repercussions of negative behavior, framing her roles in villainy as a form of social instruction through storytelling.
