Adebayo Calls for the Expulsion of Osun East Senator Following Violent Comments
Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate for the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has urged the immediate expulsion of Francis Fadahunsi, the lawmaker representing the Osun East Senatorial District, due to comments he made encouraging violence against members of the Accord Party.
During an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Morning Show’ on Thursday, Adebayo condemned violence and inflammatory rhetoric in political discourse, advocating for responsible leadership.
Fadahunsi was recorded in a video reportedly telling his supporters to “kill any member of the Accord Party” ahead of the upcoming governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.
Adebayo expressed his disapproval, stating, “I condemn the statement credited to the Senator, and I condemn the general use of violence in public life.” He emphasized the need for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to take action, saying, “I expect the APC to expel Fadahunsi and any of these people. If they don’t, they are collectively responsible.”
Adebayo also called on law enforcement to take necessary action, stating, “We just need to see the man in court. That is how we know that you are actually taking action.”
