Nigerian Comedian and Actor Accuse Gospel Singer of Misappropriation of Funds

Nigerian comedian Woli Arole and actor Sanusi Izihaq, known as Apa, have accused singer Ola Best of absconding with funds collected through their monthly thrift contribution, commonly referred to as Ajo.

In an Instagram post on Friday, Woli Arole alleged that the gospel musician had relocated to Canada after collecting the group’s contributions. “I’m sending this video to you and I’m making it public. The next video I’m going to do will mention your name. We started this contribution in January, and I am the one collecting for August,” Arole stated.

He further urged Ola Best to respond promptly, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. “Your number is not reachable. You wrote ‘thank God for journey mercy’ in your WhatsApp story. I saw you in Canada. Your number must be reachable within the next few hours, or I will mention your name,” Arole added.

Actor Apa also addressed the issue in an Instagram video, expressing confusion regarding Arole’s earlier post. “Woli Arole, I don’t understand your last post, but I can tell the public that you are the one who introduced me to this monthly thrift. After your post, I tried to call the admin, but his number is not going through,” Apa said.

In response, Ola Best released a video on Instagram, seeking to clarify his situation. “Woli Arole, you are our father, and you shouldn’t be taking this matter to social media over thrift money. I just arrived in Canada two days ago and was given a two-year visa. Please give me some time to repay you,” he stated.

The situation continues to develop as the parties involved seek resolution.
