Please Help Our Dad, Ogogo’s Daughters Seek Help As Actor Allegedly Battles Cancer –

The daughters of Taiwo Hassan, a renowned Yoruba actor known as Ogogo, have issued a public appeal for urgent medical assistance as their father battles stage-four cancer.

Lima and Kira Taiwo made separate emotional pleas on Instagram on Monday, urging Nigerians, medical professionals, and anyone familiar with cancer treatment to assist their father.

In a video shared on her Instagram account, Lima described her father’s worsening condition, stating that hospitals had declined to continue his treatment. “Hello everybody, good evening. I’m here to ask for help for my daddy. He has cancer and it’s really, really bad. The hospitals are refusing to treat him. At least, please, give this man a chance. Nobody wants to do anything,” she said.

The family reportedly became aware of the seriousness of Hassan’s condition only three weeks ago. “You see him, you can’t even know that something is wrong that bad. It’s just starting to show. We didn’t even know until like three weeks ago,” she added. Lima stressed that the family is seeking medical help rather than financial donations. “Please, I’m begging you. If you know somebody that knows somebody who will be willing to treat him, anything, we’re willing to try anything. We’re not here to ask for money,” she said.

Lima expressed gratitude to their uncle, Senator Yayi, for his support during this difficult time. “My big uncle Yayi has helped a lot. He has been of great help. Like, nobody even knew that he would show up for us this way,” she said.

In a separate video, Kira confirmed that her father’s cancer has reached stage four and noted that doctors have indicated that chemotherapy is no longer viable. “Hello everyone, I’m here for my daddy. He has cancer and is in stage 4. The hospital is saying that they cannot treat him again, like they can’t give him chemo again,” she said, appealing for any possible treatment, whether medical or alternative.

Kira also expressed her gratitude toward Senator Yayi for his financial assistance. “I really, really appreciate Senator Yayi. He has been the one helping us, he has been the one footing the bills,” she stated.

Both daughters encouraged anyone with information about potential treatment options to reach out to them or their father directly. “Please, please, if you can treat my daddy, please send me a DM. I’ll be checking my phone. Please, I don’t want my daddy to die,” Kira said, visibly emotional. “God, give me strength. I’m suffering so bad… I’ve never seen my daddy in that kind of pain before. He’s saying that he doesn’t want to die.”

Hassan is a stalwart of the Nigerian film industry, with a career spanning over four decades and participation in more than 300 films. He remains a prominent figure in Yoruba-language cinema.
