Burna Boy and Shakira’s ‘Dai Dai’ Dominates Billboard Charts for Fifth Consecutive Week

“Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 FIFA World Cup performed by Afrobeat artist Burna Boy and pop sensation Shakira, has achieved significant success on the charts. The single has secured the top position on the Billboard Global 200 for a fifth week and has remained at No. 1 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for eight weeks.

Billboard announced the news on Tuesday through its social media platform, X. The publication, known for its authoritative charts in the music industry, recognized “Dai Dai” as the world’s leading song approximately one month following the conclusion of the tournament, which ended with Spain defeating Argentina 1-0 on July 19, 2026.

According to data from Luminate, “Dai Dai” recorded sales of 6,000 copies worldwide and garnered 44.1 million streams during the week of July 7-13. The track maintains its lead on the Global Excl. U.S. chart, where it initially debuted at the top in early July, despite experiencing a 10% decrease in streams (totaling 37.8 million) and an 8% decline in sales (now at 4,000 copies) outside the U.S.

Additionally, “Dai Dai” has continued to gain traction in the U.S. music market, rising to No. 3 on the Rhythmic Airplay chart and being recognized as the Greatest Gainer. The song also reached the top of the Latin Airplay chart for one week in late July.
