Fire Breaks Out at SPAR Shopping Outlet in Calabar

CALABAR, Nigeria — A fire broke out Saturday morning at SPAR, a prominent shopping outlet in the city. The blaze, which reportedly began inside the store, has generated thick smoke that can be seen from several blocks away, with flames visible from Barracks Road, approximately 100 yards from the location.

Firefighters have responded to the scene and are actively working to contain the fire.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains unknown. Authorities are investigating the incident.
