Falconets depart for Poland ahead 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup

Nigerian women’s U-20 soccer team, known as the Falconets, is set to depart for Poland on Monday in preparation for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, according to a report from DAILY POST.

The team has been training intensively in Abuja for several weeks as they gear up for the prestigious tournament. Under the guidance of head coach Moses Aduku, the Falconets will engage in two friendly matches against Poland and the Korea Republic to further refine their strategies ahead of the competition.

Nigeria has been placed in Group F, where they will face formidable opponents including Spain, China, and New Caledonia. The Falconets will kick off their World Cup campaign against Spain at Arena Sosnowiec on September 7.
