American rapper Lil Durk says Tems’ music is motivating him in jail


American rapper Durk Banks, known professionally as Lil Durk, has released a playlist of songs he has been listening to while incarcerated. The playlist, shared on social media, is intended to serve as a source of motivation.

Lil Durk is currently being held at a correctional facility as he awaits trial for a murder-for-hire case. The trial is scheduled to begin on August 20, 2026.

Topping his playlist is “Free Mind,” a hit track by Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Tems. Other notable selections include “Nightmares to Dreams” by Meek Mill, “Some How Some Way” by Jay-Z, “Changes” by 2Pac, “I Wish” by 21 Savage, and “Freedom Time” by Lauryn Hill.

Additional songs featured on the playlist are “I’m The Problem” by Morgan Wallen, “Baddest In The Room” by Fridayy, “Still Feel Me” by Jadakiss, “Everything I Am” by Kanye West, and “Dead Fresh” by Lil Baby.
