Salah Open To Saudi Arabia Move As Agent Holds Talks With Al Ittihad

Transfer Speculation Surrounds Mohamed Salah Amid Al Ittihad Talks
Fresh transfer rumors have emerged regarding Mohamed Salah, with reports indicating that his representatives are in discussions with Al Ittihad, a club in the Saudi Pro League.
According to French outlet Footmercato, journalist Santi Aouna reports that Salah’s agent is actively negotiating with the Saudi club. The Liverpool forward appears to be more receptive to the idea of a move to the Middle East than in previous seasons.
Salah has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia for several years, but he had consistently opted to remain at Liverpool during his peak performance years. Until recently, he was regarded as a core figure at Anfield, having extended his contract through the 2024-2025 season.
However, the landscape has changed following a challenging season for both Salah and Liverpool. The club struggled in its performance, and Salah’s own form has reportedly declined, leading to public frustration after he voiced disappointment over being omitted from the starting lineup. This situation has intensified speculation regarding his potential departure.
While the Africa Cup of Nations momentarily diverted attention from transfer discussions, recent developments suggest a move is still a possibility. Unlike last year, Salah is now thought to be more amenable to exploring opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
A potential deal could benefit all parties involved. Liverpool stands to gain from a substantial transfer fee, while Salah would gain more control over the next chapter of his career.
Al Ittihad is also keen to bolster its roster following the departures of star players Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté in the winter transfer window. With Fabinho’s contract expiring next June and rumors linking Moussa Diaby to Inter Milan, the club faces pressure to strengthen its squad.
