Bandits kill 10, abduct 40 in Sokoto community

At least 10 people were killed in a violent attack on the Tofa community in the Rabah Local Government Area of Sokoto State. The incident occurred during the night and was reported by security analyst Bakatsine on social media platform X on Monday.

According to Bakatsine’s post, the assailants launched a surprise invasion, leaving multiple individuals injured and abducting dozens of residents. Local sources estimate that between 38 and 40 people may have been taken, although the exact number remains unverified.

In addition to the fatalities, reports indicate that the attackers also rustled a significant number of livestock and looted properties belonging to the community before fleeing the area.
