BREAKING: Chaos in Benue as suspected thugs attack Peter Obi’s convoy [VIDEO] 

Tension arose in Benue State on Tuesday when suspected thugs reportedly blocked a major road as Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), arrived in the region.

Esther Umoh, Obi’s media aide, reported the incident through a video shared on her social media account. The blockage occurred shortly after Obi and his convoy reached Benue State.

“We have just arrived in Benue State, where alleged sponsored thugs have blocked Boko Road by the Air Force Base, attempting to prevent Peter Obi from gaining access into the state,” Umoh stated.

In another video posted by Umoh, individuals were observed chasing after vehicles in Obi’s convoy, which she claimed was an attempt to attack the group.

The identities of the individuals involved and the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

As of this report, neither the Benue State Government nor the police have issued a public response to the allegations.
