One killed, four injured as bandits launch fresh attacks in Zamfara

Zamfara State Attacks Leave One Dead, Several Injured and Abducted
Armed assailants carried out coordinated attacks in Maradun and Zurmi local government areas of Zamfara State on February 10, resulting in one fatality, four injuries, and multiple abductions.
According to sources, the first incident occurred around 6 p.m. when gunmen invaded Kaya Faru village in Maradun LGA. During the attack, Bello Yari and three other residents were shot and injured before the assailants fled the scene. Security forces responded promptly to the distress call and transported the injured to the General Hospital in Talata Mafara, where they are currently receiving treatment.
Earlier that day, at approximately 1 a.m., suspected bandits targeted the Sanyawa area of Moriki District in Zurmi LGA. In this attack, a man identified as Lawali Musa was killed, and an unspecified number of residents were abducted. The body of the deceased has been taken to the General Hospital in Moriki for a post-mortem examination.
Security agencies have initiated a manhunt to locate the fleeing suspects while intensifying efforts to rescue the abducted individuals and ensure justice is served.
Zamfara State continues to grapple with widespread banditry, despite ongoing military and security operations aimed at dismantling criminal hideouts in the region.
