SPL: Cristiano Ronaldo demands lifetime bans for Saudi Arabian fans over Diogo Jota chants

Cristiano Ronaldo, forward for Al Nassr, has called for lifetime bans for fans of the Saudi Pro League who directed chants at midfielder Ruben Neves regarding his late friend, Diogo Jota.

During a match on Saturday, Neves was seen responding to supporters of Al-Taawoun who were chanting in his direction. In a display of solidarity, he signaled to the fans by pointing to the sky, then to his eyes, and finally pointing back at them, appearing to convey a message that “God is watching.”

Ronaldo reacted to the incident on social media, stating, “The league must take action and punish this kind of fan behavior. This is no longer football, and there have to be limits. People who behave like this should never be allowed to enter a stadium again.”

In the match itself, Al-Hilal secured a decisive victory over Al-Taawoun, winning 6-0.
