NPFL: Suleiman reveals key to Kwara United’s victory over Nasarawa
Kwara United’s technical adviser, Ashifat Suleiman, expressed satisfaction with his team’s defensive performance following their 2-1 victory against Nasarawa United at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin on Wednesday.
The match marked the fifth round of the season, with Sanni Muhammad opening the scoring for Kwara United early in the first half. However, Nasarawa United responded with an equalizer from Jofrank Istifanus. The decisive goal came from Abdulsalam Abdulsalam, securing the win for the home side.
In a post-match interview, Suleiman highlighted his team’s ability to seize opportunities during the game. “Football is about moments; they have theirs, and we also have ours, so that’s football,” he said. He added that the team effectively managed the pressure to secure all three points, emphasizing their solid defense throughout the match.
