Davido makes music for fun, not money – Signee, Logos Olori
Logos Olori, a signee of Davido Music Worldwide, recently shared his thoughts on the label’s founder, renowned singer David Adeleke, commonly known as Davido.
In a recent episode of the Wahala Podcast, Olori expressed admiration for Davido’s commitment to his craft. He noted that despite Davido’s affluent background, the artist approaches his work with the diligence of someone without financial security.
Olori suggested that the competitive nature of the music industry motivates Davido to put in extra effort. “I feel like the competition drives him. He is very passionate,” Olori remarked. He added that Davido’s music-making process is rooted in enjoyment rather than purely financial gain. “I don’t think he needs music money; he just does it for fun,” he said.
Olori revealed that he was signed to Davido’s label after writing the hit song “Unavailable” for the artist. Prior to his transition into the Nigerian music scene, Olori had been living comfortably in Dubai. He ultimately decided to move to Nigeria to pursue a full-time career in music.
