Ebem Ohafia Monarch Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha Dies at 89
Ebem Ohafia, Abia State – The Paramount Ruler of the Ebem Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, Eze Ukoha Kalu Ukoha, has passed away at the age of 89 after serving as the monarch for 35 years.
The Ebem Ohafia Development Union (EODU) and the Council of Chiefs and Elders confirmed his death. The news was communicated to journalists by Ifeanyi Okali, the community’s Publicity Secretary.
Eze Ukoha, also known as the Ezieogo, was a notable figure in the community and held significant cultural responsibilities. His death occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026, prompting mourning among the residents of Ebem Ohafia and beyond.
Throughout his reign, Eze Ukoha was recognized for his efforts in maintaining peace within the community and promoting campaigns against drug abuse among the youth. He was also noted for his stance against extending honors to individuals involved in criminal activities.
